Challenge:

A South San Francisco company looked to Berkeley BioWorks to accelerate their drug discovery process with an in-house oligo synthesizer.

Solution:

A unique high throughput system was designed. The design included 20 fluidic channels, pneumatic and electrical actuation, nitrogen purging & vacuum waste system.

Result:

The system produced oligos faster than any other system on the market. U.S. Patent #6,264,891 issued to client.
